Miss Addison turns 2 Years Old

Meet the new Mr. & Mrs. Michael Oliver

I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of the lovely Lenora Stark and her prince charming, Michael Oliver. They had a StoryBook wedding on April 11th at the Houmas House Plantation. The grounds were amazing ! I had never seen such a beautiful place and a couple that was so in Love....

I had my good friend, Tricia, help me out. I am so glad that I did. She covered the guys and I covered the girls and we were all over the plantation grounds in the short amount of time that we had to get a ton of photos taken, but we did it...and my poor Mom came along to help, and I had her running everywhere.

Emergency Bridal Shoot

As many of you know, I don't do too many weddings unless they meet my specifications of being outdoors and not too big, but Amanda called me last week desperate. Her wedding was in 2 weeks and her photographer had bailed on her. I had done her Senior pictures the year before and was happy to have the oppurtunity to help her out. I was already booked with another bride for the date of her wedding, but was able to help her out for her bridal pictures.....She was so beautiful !

*This year I am trying something a little different to make sure that appts. flow more smoothly…I am hoping that there aren’t so many time slots taken up where the person never shows up, causing others to miss out on an available appt.—The $10 pre-paid ticket fee assures your appt. and allows you to receive a free 5x7 just for showing up. The Ticket fee is not refundable if you do not show up. ---There will be “walk-in” times available for sign-up for those who do not want to purchase a ticket, but these time frames may incur lengthy waits, as the ones who have a ticket and appt. will be taken according to their appt. time.

What a FUN Party to Photograph!

I took pictures at a recent work Christmas Party and I have to share with everyone how much fun this bunch was. I had never seen a group of co-workers that have so much fun together at a "work " party.

All of my past employers' parties were so formal and drab, but this one was just an awesome and well planned evening of Fun. There was dancing, food, a bartender, and even a dance floor and DJ...... All employers should use this party as a guide for future Christmas Parties.

I am done for the year..

It is just a few days before Christmas and I am officially done for the 2008 year. Thanks to all of you for making this my most successful year yet ! I am off (on the photography side) for the month of Januray to catch up on some stuff around my house. I have some curtains to make and a bedroom to paint among a lot of other tasks that I have been putting off....so I will be quite busy with these things.

Photography appointments resume in February. Spring is very busy for outdoor pictures so make sure to contact me early if you need some photos taken.

Snow in Louisiana ??? WOW

Can Ya'll beleive it!! SNOW Today it snowed here in Louisiana...the first time in about 20 years. It was a blast and truly a photographer's dream. I know my poor camera was thinking, "What are you doing crazy lady?..Its freezing out here,"..but I had to do it, I just couldn't resist. We don't see SNOW often... My daughter, Braylee had so much fun playing in the snow and making snow angels. I even drug out my Christmas Sled that I use in my Christmas Pictures and gave it a try. When I bought it a few months bac as a "prop" I never thought that I would actually use it for snow, but we did!

Mia Bella's Candles

I am also an independent distributor for Mia Bella's candles and other scented products. These candles are awesome and smell wonderful ! I have a candle obsession so when I found these, I knew I must help others find out about them, too. I personally, compare them to Circle E candles, but better. This year I am offering a FREE Halloween photo session at my home in Watson, outdoors. This date is Wednesday, October 29th and its for KIDS ONLY. I have several spots in my yard setup for really cute Halloween Photos (hay bales, Antique Wheelbarrow, pumpkins, old fences, etc.).
